Nayanee Silva is an experienced educational consultant, career coach and Founder of Smarter Lives.

In this Masterclass (the third presentation by Smarter Lives in Colombo), she will present expert guidance on the UK and USA university applications process, sharing knowledge from within the university admissions and education sector.

 

Nayanee has worked with UK/EU and international students from international, state, boarding and private schools supporting applications to Oxbridge and Russell group universities in the UK and competitive universities in the USA.

 

 

 

Past and ongoing university applications to UK universities include: Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial College, UCL, LSE, Durham, Warwick, University of the Arts (London), Bristol, Kent, Exeter, Southampton, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Loughborough, Lancaster, Aston, Reading, Sussex, Swansea, Royal Holloway and Bath.

 

USA applications include Boston University, Boston College, USC, UCLA, Syracuse, Parsons School of Design, Pace University, Tufts University, University of Texas (Austin), MIT, Caltech, Georgia Tech, Cornell University, Purdue University and others. Smarter Lives has also advised on applications to universities in Singapore and Australia.

 

Students have been supported with internship and graduate job applications to competitive employer schemes in the UK in consultancy, banking, finance, media, retail, engineering, technology and other sectors.

About Nayanee Silva

 

Nayanee has a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales. She is an experienced business professional with several years of experience in the UK Finance and Management Consulting Sector. Nayanee is also a qualified Life Coach with a Diploma in Life Coaching and a Member of the Association for Coaching in the UK. has provided educational consultancy, career guidance, business coaching and corporate psychometric assessment in the UK and abroad. She has worked with individuals and organisations providing coaching in education, careers and business and is a career mentor for the University of Reading.

 

Nayanee has a in-depth understanding of education systems and experience of guiding young people towards achieving their potential. Both her sons attended Charterhouse – a prestigious UK boarding school (winning music awards and an academic scholarship). They are now successful UK university students, one a several-times student award winner and the other the winner of two national Engineering scholarship awards. Supporting her sons as a parent, led to helping others with education and career choices. She strongly believes that with the right support young people can achieve their own individual success.
